We are pleased to announce an addition to our existing service:

North of Tyne Volunteering Project

This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with the North of Tyne Combined Authority as the lead authority. The purpose of the project is to enhance existing support for volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations. In Newcastle, Volunteer Centre Newcastle are delivering the project in partnership with Connected Voice.

Here at the Centre, we have employed Matthew Brindley to help boost our capacity to support grassroots organisations in developing volunteer-involving activities.

Matthew will take the lead on:

  1. Supporting new and existing organisations to develop volunteer programmes. As part of this, Matthew will use the newly designed Health Check (think MOT) for organisations, which is being rolled out in Newcastle by Connected Voice and Volunteer Centre Newcastle.
  2. Establishing community drop-ins for the public to find out about volunteering.
  3. Enhancing the existing offer of the Volunteer Centre by delivering training and establishing coordinator networks.

You can contact Matthew by email at matthew.brindley@volunteeringmatters.org.uk or by mobile on 07950 977387.

This is a new and exciting addition to our 2024 offer and we look forward to working with you going forwards.
