PLEASE NOTE: This role is only needed for the Christmas period.
You will contribute to ending homelessness by
Performers bring festive joy, create a warm and inviting atmosphere in our centres and help guests relax and have fun.
If you are a performer, magician, caricaturist or have some other special skill that is entertaining and appropriate for our centres, we want to hear from you.
What you will gain

Core tasks
Your tasks may include:
- You will be part of the Activities team along with Sports and Wellbeing Volunteers and overseen by Activity Organisers.
- Our training will show you what to expect when running live entertainment and provide you with lots of ideas of what has been popular in our centres before.

- We expect volunteers to comply with Crisis policies including health and safety, data protection and code of conduct at all times
- To maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all accessible information about guests and the organisation
- Be positive, productive and have the passion to help end homelessness
- We strive to ensure that our services are welcoming, remain relevant and are fully accessible to everyone that we help and support.
- We are particularly welcoming of volunteers from diverse and other marginalised communities, as this helps us ensure the best experience for those that we are here to help.
- People who have lived experience of homelessness are also particularly welcome to apply.
Skills
Who we are looking for
- Experience of performing fun and accessible entertainment shows
- Plenty of ideas about entertainment that guests may enjoy
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with vulnerable guests
- A positive attitude and the ability to encourage and motivate guests who may not have watched any live entertainment for a long time.
- Ability to work with the Shift Team and report any potential issues to the shift leader
- Ability to deliver Crisis at Christmas services in a fair manner ensuring that the safety of the guests and volunteers is of paramount importance at all times
- Be a positive role model for all volunteers exhibiting behaviours outlined in the Volunteers Code of Conduct
