An exciting opportunity has arisen for two passionate, supportive and inspirational people to support the ambitious fundraising vision of a developing charity seeking to become a beacon of excellence in tackling social mobility for young people aged 13-18 in the North East.
About the Role The Foundation needs support to develop and deliver its fundraising ambitions
You will work as members of the Board’s Fundraising Sub-Committee to take the charity’s fundraising practice to the next level, as we build upon the success of the launch of our first Impact Report.
As members of the Fundraising Sub-Committee, you will be responsible for working with the General Manager and Trustees to improve the charity’s success at securing income from trusts and foundations; to help to establish a corporate fundraising strategy; and to support the identification of novel funding streams.
Time Commitment: 4-5 hours per month
Location: office based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with meetings held remotely/hybrid

We are looking for exceptional candidates who can demonstrate:
- Passion for the Foundation’s mission and a strong commitment to making a difference in the community.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire trust, foundation, and corporate donors.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write compelling, engaging copy across multiple channels
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
It would be great if you have:
- Previous experience in grant writing, trust and foundation fundraising, corporate partnerships, or related fields
- An understanding of the distinct role of governance in the context of a small charity
