- Setup resources and spaces for educational visits to the Castle
- Assist with the delivery of guided tours and educational workshops for a variety of groups including school groups, universities, community groups and more.
- When more experienced, lead guided tours and workshops with the assistance of other volunteers.
- When more experienced, assist staff with the delivery of Outreach activities and workshops offsite.
- Maintain good standards of health and safety and safeguarding during school visits.
This role is primarily during the term time, but volunteers in this role may also like to consider our Engagement Volunteer role which they can be in concurrently and which is all year round.

: Volunteers are trained by shadowing existing volunteers delivering a variety of sessions and are encouraged to begin by delivering small parts of a tour or workshop themselves before moving to leading a full session when they feel confident to do so. - Volunteer induction
A full induction will be carried out upon a volunteer starting at the Castle. Training in the individual roles will be carried out, and consists of a short introduction, written materials and on the job training by other volunteers - Volunteer Policy
