Reception and Administration support

ReCoCo is the Recovery College Collective. Canny people doing canny things for each other.Bringing the voluntary sector and the NHS together providing a peer led, peer delivered education and support service where people can learn from each other's insights, skills and lived experience of mental health

This role supports us with reception tasks in our busy City centre building with the chance to also support with administrative tasks

We are looking for a confident volunteer who can independently cover the reception area - being the first point of contact for our students, partners, other volunteers and visitors to the building

At ReCoCo we value each person who accesses our building so we want someone with customer service skill that reflects our commitment to equality, openness and integrity

  • Offer a polite reception service, including greeting visitors and dealing with telephone and email enquiries
  • Contact students in relation to course bookings
  • Provide general administrative support as required, including filing, photocopying, scanning, word processing and maintaining office systems
  • Ensure that the reception area is kept presentable and attractive throughout the day
  • Support other volunteers with tasks as needed
  • Assist with data management systems, both computer and manual
  • Co-ordinate travel arrangements as necessary

Sometimes during busy periods you may be asked to take on additional tasks but this will always be negotiable

We respect difference and want our reception area to be part of our excellent open service

This role forms part of Volunteer Passport Scheme Newcastle which includes one day of training with Newcastle City Learning either in person or online
