Reserve Warden - Northumberlandia

NWT's aim is to bring people closer to nature so they learn to understand, value and protect it. Part of this plan includes looking after our reserves, making them enjoyable places to spend time and ensuring visitors have a good, memorable experience during their visit.

What's involved?

  • Engage with visitors to answer queries and provide information
  • Carry out checks and complete a report form
  • Collect litter, keep areas clean and tidy, fill bird feeders
  • Assist with the delivery of practical tasks on site as and when needed
  • Assisting with parking and directions
  • Deliver guided walks around the site to groups

Minimum 2 hrs to walk round site once a week or as available and scheduled on the rota.


  • Ability to engage with a wide range of public participants and visitors
  • A good standard of fitness
  • First Aid certification and Risk Assessment & Health and Safety training would be useful but are not essential


  • Age restrictions
    Over 18's
  • Expenses reimbursed
  • Training provided
