Social Media Volunteer

The role of the social media volunteer is to provide support to our Nightstop services, including Nightstop London, Nightstop Milton Keynes, Nightstop North East & Cumbria and Nightstop Greater Manchester. You will produce content for local teams to be used in their social media platforms as well as run some local campaigns to recruit volunteers able to offer their spare room as a Nightstop host

  • Follow Depaul UK Brand Guidelines and Nightstop UK Guidelines with any external and internal communications
  • Create content for social media, including Facebook and X (Twitter)
  • Assist in the creation of digital, video, audio and print content for social media channels. This may include interviews with Nightstop Guests (young people using our services) or front line staff members

Skills

  • A basic understanding of the issues people face.
  • An ability to relate to people on a one to one, non judgmental basis.
  • A desire to work with disadvantaged people.
  • Experience of using marketing skills to deliver communications outcomes.
  • Experience of working with the media in proactive and reactive situations.
  • A willingness to participate in training and be involved in consultation regarding the role.
