Trustee

Welcome to Badminton are recruiting trustees to support the wider work of the organisation by providing oversight and governance of the organisation's work.

This role is expected to involve the following tasks:

• Attend trustee meetings up to 6 times per year
• Attend some of the sports sessions when available, to meet participants and volunteers and understand the project
• Based on prior experience, you could act as Chair or treasurer or undertake a more generic trustee role.

Skills

This role is suited to someone with the following:

• Passion for helping refugees and asylum seekers to integrate and have opportunities to improve their lives
• Prior experience of being on a board of trustees would be helpful
• Expertise in the fields of sport and health, inclusion and EDI, being a Chair or a treasurer
• The time available to devote to helping the organisation to progress.

We especially welcome applications from people with lived experience of being a refugee/asylum seeker, or experience in a previous paid or voluntary role supporting these people.
