As a volunteer buddy, you will be matched with someone who has lived experience of the asylum system, to meet up every 1 - 2 weeks, for anything between 3 - 12 months.
The aim of the buddy scheme at WERS is to provide a welcome and orientation in Newcastle and the surrounding area to people with lived experience of the asylum system who are feeling isolated, and who would benefit from some help in visiting and accessing new services, activities and venues in the city.
