This role includes:
- Mucking out stables
- Catching and turning out horses
- Grooming
- Tacking up and untacking the horses
- Plus many more jobs
Volunteering in this area is best done on a half or full day basis. This then allows us to plan more effectively.
Times are as follows 7 days a week:
- 8:30am -11:45am
- 12:30pm - 4:00pm
- Half days 8:30am -4:00pm
- Full day
Skills
- An interest in helping individuals with special needs to develop new skills
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Adaptability
- Good sense of fun
- Experience with horses (would be an advantage) but not necessary
