Riverside Dene Volunteers Fair – Book your FREE stall

4 April 2024

Newcastle College ESOL are hosting a volunteers fair in association with the Volunteer Centre Newcastle and would like to invite you to join us. This is a great opportunity to introduce students to volunteering opportunities or to present the services that your organisation could offer to our students.

It will take place on Tuesday 21st May at the Riverside Dene Campus of Newcastle College (in Cruddas Park shopping centre).

We are offering 25 stalls (approx. 120 x 60cm) on a first come, first served basis.  If you would like to reserve a stall, please email emily.varley@ncl-coll.ac.uk for more information. You will receive an acknowledgment of your place from Emily Varley and then specific information about two weeks prior to the event.

Audience: ESOL, Employability and possibly community drop-in as well

Arrival time11.30 for an 11.45 start

Students are in class until 11.45ish and then classes start again at 12.45 so it may go quiet around 1pm. It will be busy across the lunch break.

Event Closure: 1.15pm

Parking: No reserved parking but local non-permit parking available.  If accessible parking is required, it can be arranged.

Refreshments: available from the on-site café – alas no budget has been provided for free refreshments

Please do not bring electrical items as no plug sockets available.

The entrance area is quite cold so it’s advisable to wear warm clothes.

Alternative Opportunity!

If you can’t make that date, we are happy to host a volunteer spotlight – either a stall in the reception area during the lunch break to publicise your organisation or a 30-minute classroom session to give a talk to interested students.  Please get in touch on the email above if you’d like to arrange a volunteer spotlight.
