Volunteering while you are a student or recent graduate

If you are a student at one of the local universities you may be interested to know that Newcastle University and Northumbria University have their own sections which encourage student volunteering.

Many students are open to volunteering as a group activity, and again the local universities can cater for this type of volunteering. Below are some details of local student volunteering organisations with their own descriptions of who they are and what they are about.

Go Volunteer(Newcastle University)

Go Volunteer is part of NUSU and helps students and staff at Newcastle University to find the ideal community volunteering opportunity for you within our city. Anyone can volunteer, it doesn't matter who you are or what experience you have.

Our volunteering is designed with students in mind and requires no previous experience. As well as running our own exciting student-led projects we also have some great links to a wide variety of charities and worthwhile organisations within the local community.

We have one off as well as regular long term opportunities, so whether its volunteering with children, helping the elderly or doing a spot of gardening Go Volunteer will find the project for you.
