New fully funded training for your volunteers

1 November 2024

Please note: enrolments for this training are currently suspended while we await confirmation of funding arrangements for the next year. We expect to be able to continue offering this training from early April.

Volunteering Matters are delighted to be able to offer fully funded online training for volunteer upskilling, through the North of Tyne Volunteering & Social Action programme. This training is funded by the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund through the North of Tyne Combined Authority and is now administered by the North East Combined Authority.

Each of your volunteers may sign up for up to three courses in areas such as Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and Mental Health Awareness. These courses are especially suited to those looking to develop skills for paid employment. A selection of suggested courses is included on the information sheet but volunteers and organisations are welcome to browse the full range of High Speed Training courses and make their own selection of the most relevant courses for their personal development.

To enrol a volunteer on the training, we just need to receive a completed application form detailing your organisation’s details, the volunteer’s details and course choices. Please return this form to Matthew at matthew.brindley@volunteeringmatters.org.uk

More information can be found on the information sheet.
