Main duties & responsibilities
- To assist in leading CHEFF after school clubs, curriculum time, community sessions and holiday courses.
- Assist in the planning, preparing and delivering sessions to promote a healthy lifestyle which includes food, nutritional education and activities in a fun and interactive way.
- Plan, prepare and cook healthy affordable snacks/meals.
- To carry out all monitoring outcomes of each session and evaluate the programme over an agreed timescale if and when needed.
- To undertake any necessary training.
- Checking all equipment is available for sessions, setting this up and washing/cleaning of this throughout delivery.
- Interact and engage with the group as much as possible, be positive, enthusiastic and use initiative
- Any admin duties in the office such as registers, consent forms, posters
- Promotion on social media platforms
- Create an environment that progresses self-esteem and confidence, whilst keeping it free from bullying or disrespect for others
- To volunteer on daytimes, evenings, weekends and school holidays
- To ensure high standards of customer care and a quality service at all times
Skills
- Be committed to issues of equal opportunity and diversity and be able to incorporate these in your everyday volunteering
- Desirably applicants would have a DBS and Food Safety Hygiene certificates, but these are not essential

Availability Details
The opportunities vary depending on funding and school contracts. You can volunteer for one session or more a week depending on your circumstances and commitments. Weekly availability is requested.
