DIGITAL ARCHIVIST

Blyth Tall Ship is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich maritime heritage of Blyth and the North East. As a Volunteer Digital Archivist, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our historical records and making them more accessible to the public, future researchers, and our community.

TASKS

  • Digitise and catalogue archival materials (documents, photographs, drawings, artefacts).
  • Maintain accurate metadata and ensure consistency across digital records.
  • Support the organisation of collections to improve accessibility for education, exhibitions, and research.
  • Contribute to the creation of digital resources for use on Blyth Tall Ship’s website, social media, and exhibitions.
  • Handle original materials with care, following agreed procedures.
  • Report to the Project Manager or designated Archivist.

Skills
