Recyke y'Bike are looking for volunteers to support us in our busy bike shop in Byker!
If you are keen on bikes and want to gain some transferable skills feel free to get in touch.
- You would support us interacting with members of the public,
- taking in donated bikes,
- advising on bike related activities
- educating people on the importance of cycling and recycling!
We are flexible with commitment, anytime from 9-4 Tuesday-Friday
Skills
- Confident speaking to members of the public
- some knowledge of bikes
- Comfortable speaking to people on the phone

Health and Safety Issues will be covered during the induction day - Training provided
Basic Maintenance Training - Volunteer induction
We have a volunteer policy and first day induction, with reviews every 3 and 6 months. Other than that, our mechanics and bike sellers will be always at hand to help with any issue.
