At Brain Tumour Research, we’re fighting towards a cure towards all types of brain tumours by increasing national investment into their research.
But we can’t do this alone – can you help us as a Community Fundraising Volunteer?
- There are lots of different ways you could support us as a Community Fundraising Volunteer including: · Placing collection tins in local businesses and organisations is a really helpful way to raise awareness and support our fundraising
- Could you research new locations for collection tins such as shops and restaurants before then placing and managing these? As part of this you would be responsible for banking the money and exchanging the tins.
- Could you attend events with us to help set up, collect money, and engage with supporters? We have a range of events throughout the year which might need support.
- Coin collections, such as at supermarkets and events, are a great way to get out and about in your local community – you can help us by researching, booking and attending collections.
- Could you hold your own fundraiser, such as a coffee morning or community walk?
We have two flagship events, our Wear a Hat Day (Wear A Hat Day | Brain Tumour Research) in March and Walk of Hope (Walk of Hope | Brain Tumour Research) in September which are both really easy and fun to get involved in.
Even just helping us to promote fundraising in your local community is a big help! ·
Helping us to research and find contacts in your area who might like to support Brain Tumour Research for example Rotary Clubs, Women’s Institutes and local business.
We’re looking for volunteers from all walks of life whether that’s volunteering through your work or business (does your workplace offer volunteering days?), schools, college or university or simply with friends and family, all help is appreciated.
We welcome any level of volunteering support, whether that’s regular time spent volunteering or more ad-hoc/ one off volunteering.
Volunteers will be provided with all the Brain Tumour Research resources they need including branded clothing, literature and merchandise.
You will also have a dedicated local contact to provide any help and advice you need. erin.wright@braintumourresearch.org
