"Live Tales" - Writing Mentors

Live Tales is Live Theatre's creative writing centre for children and young people.

The key role of a Writing Mentor is to work one on one with children and young people to help them to write their stories, explore ideas, describe characters and to use their imagination. No previous experience is necessary and all training will be provided.

Current Live Tales Timetable - all sessions run during term time

Wednesdays (Sunderland) 10am-12pm

Wednesdays (online) 1-2:30pm - we can be flexible with this time

Thursdays (Newcastle) 10am-12pm

Fridays (Newcastle) 10am-12pm

  • A willingness to listen and encourage the children to write creatively
  • To be helpful, friendly and enthusiastic
  • To be punctual, reliable and able to work with others in a team environment
