Tyne Emotional Resilience Buddy

We’re here to get people to a better place. Tyne is a small, locally-focused charitable housing association, and Registered Provider of Social Housing, established in Newcastle in 1973.

We stand by the NE’s most-vulnerable people; those facing homelessness/unstable housing, frequently with multiple needs, helping them ‘get to a better place’ through our specialist supported housing, healthcare and community projects.

Tyne Housing has residents across the north east region. We know that some of these people are relatively isolated and sometimes lonely and would benefit from a Buddy who they could meet and engage in social activities such as going for a walk, shopping, visiting museums or just a chat and a coffee.

The aim of an Emotional Resilience Buddy is to help boost residents confidence and Mental wellbeing by assisting them to access activities and combating loneliness by being a listening ear.
