Women’s Street Watch volunteers aim to provide a calm, friendly, and reassuring presence for women and girls during busy nightlife hours.
This role is perfect for women who want to make nights out safer and more supportive for other women.
We provide a calm, friendly, and reassuring presence for women and girls during busy nightlife hours,
- offering water, snacks,
- a quiet place to sit,
- supportive conversation,
- help charging phones, and assistance booking taxis or contacting friends or family.
Volunteers work to keep the Bigg Market safe on Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm–2am, escalating any concerns to trained leads or emergency services when needed.
All volunteers have access to our website, where you can complete training modules and book onto shifts easily.
You will have the support of a volunteer coordinator and buddy system
