Young Trustee

Become a Young Trustee at Northumberland Wildlife Trust. Are you aged 18–30 and passionate about nature, community, or making a difference? This is an exciting opportunity to join the Board of Trustees at Northumberland Wildlife Trust and help shape the future of wildlife conservation in our region.

You’ll start by shadowing current trustees in Spring/Summer 2026 with full mentoring and support, before becoming a voting trustee from October 2026. No prior experience is needed—just your fresh perspective, ideas, and enthusiasm. 

Skills

Aged 18- 30 years

A proactive person

Someone who will bring new ideas and perspective to our Board of Trustees

A great communicator

Someone who listens and acts fairly

Willing to understand and take on the duties and responsibilities of being a trustee

Able to work as part of a team Have knowledge of and/or links to Newcastle, North Tyneside and/or Northumberland.
