Introduction to Volunteer Management training – Monday 17th November, 2pm – 3:30pm, in person at Maybrook House – a comprehensive overview to ‘getting it right from the start’ when it comes to volunteer role development, recruitment, advertising, support, retention and recognition.
Training opportunities for your volunteers – Monday 24th November, 1pm – 1:45pm, online – featuring presentations on free upskilling training for volunteers, including from EPNE, as well as a time for hearing from other coordinators what they have used before
Volunteer Management refresher – Wednesday 26th November, 1:30pm – 2:30pm, online – for those who have attended our introduction to volunteer management training before, or who cannot make the 17th November.
DBS checks and legal responsibilities – Tuesday 2nd December, 1pm – 2:30pm, in person at Maybrook House – we will hear from Success4All, a previous DBS umbrella organisation, about how they currently process DBS checks using JustCRB. We will then deliver our Volunteers and the Law training on legal responsibilities related to volunteering. Particularly suited to volunteer coordinators and trustees.
Applying your problem-solving policy – Tuesday 9th December, 1pm – 2pm, in person at Maybrook House – an informal discussion around some volunteer-related scenarios, to help you think through how you might apply your problem-solving / complaints procedure to difficult situations.
Whether you are a volunteer coordinator, trustee or someone with responsibility for volunteering in your organisation, or you would like to be trained with a view to recruiting volunteers in the future, this training is for you. We hope that you will take useful guidance away from the sessions, whether you are just starting out, or you have years of experience.
