At Recyke y'Bike, we offer our volunteers the opportunity to learn how to strip down and rebuild bikes. A volunteer bike mechanic at Recyke, will learn the ins and outs of bike mechanics, and will get hands-on training from our qualified bike mechanics.
Recyke y'Bike works to stop bikes ending up in landfill.
We do this by taking in donated bikes, stripping them down and either rebuilding them or salaving parts to be reused.
Our bikes then either go to people who cannot afford them (such as families struggling financially, people seeking asylum, and schools) or are sold on at an affordable price.
Volunteering at Recyke y'Bike is very relaxed, you can drop by as and when.
We also offer Velotech Bike mechanic training for volunteers.
