To work on a 1-1 basis with a resident of North Tyneside who may have a number of protected characteristics such as a disability or mental health issue

Advocates find out their views on specific issues to share. - listening, responding and representing the views of the person. This is done at the person's pace and allows time to discuss the issues

  • May involve attending meetings with the individual.

Training is given as well as an on-going supervision.

Helps boost confidence and employability skills.

  • Need to be kind, patient, empathetic and a good listener.
