Volunteer Driver (Medium Sized Van)

As a Volunteer Driver for FareShare North East, you will play a vital role in tackling food waste and hunger by collecting surplus food from suppliers and delivering it to local charities, schools, and community groups across the region.

Key tasks:

• Safely drive a FareShare North East van along scheduled routes.
• Load and unload food deliveries with care and efficiency.
• Ensure accurate delivery and collection records are maintained.
• Represent FareShare North East in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines.

Time Commitment:

• Flexible shifts available Monday to Friday – between the hours of 8am-3pm.

Skills

• Full UK driving licence (must be valid and clean).
• Aged 21 or over.
• Comfortable lifting and carrying food crates.
