Education volunteer with the Tyne Rivers Trust

  • We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can assist our Engagement Support Officer on a regular basis to deliver interactive and hands-on sessions to schools across the River Tyne catchment.
  • These sessions range from half-day to full-day and sometimes involve lifting and moving equipment — so we’re looking for helpers who don’t mind getting hands-on!
  • We cover themes such as climate change, river health and industrial legacy and there is a mix of classroom work, river visits and trips across the catchment.
  • We are especially keen to hear from volunteers who’d like to help with our exciting new Tyne Interactive Model Tour — a travelling, hands-on model that brings the river system to life for children and communities.
