Are you a qualified Massage Therapist who could support St Oswald Hospice runners recover as they finish the Great North run on Sunday 13th September
We need your healing hand in our tent at Bents Recreation Ground, South Shields for to stay for approximately 6 hours on the day, with timings usually being between 11am – 5pm so we ensure all of our runners get the opportunity to have a massage after their long run!
As a charity, we can provide the following items on the day:
- Massage beds (however, they can bring their own if this is their preference. We can also take this to our tent for them, should they wish not to carry it on the day)
- Disposable bed rolls/sheets
- Cleaning supplies (hand sanitiser, disposable gloves, disinfectant wipes, blue roll etc.)
- Hot/cold drinks, plus refreshments throughout the day (if you would like a more substantial lunch, you will need to bring this with you/ purchase something on-site)
Travelling/parking expenses may also be claimed for too, but please note this will only be in excess of £10.00 for the day.
We’d also love to give any business a shoutout on our social media channels too, which have audiences upwards of 16,000 supporters! And should anyone like to bring along any leaflets / business cards on the day to give to our runner’s post-massage, then they’d be more than welcome to.
The only thing the massage therapists would need to bring with them on the day is their own oils / lotions they normally use, as we know this is specific to the therapist themselves.
