Loud and enthusiastic cheerers needed to help motivate the 270 TeamAN runners around the course.
Bring your smiles and best ‘you’ve got this’ cheers! We’ll provide you with all the cheering goodies you need to cheer as loud as you can!
The AJ Bell Great North Run is one of the biggest and best events in the Anthony Nolan calendar – a day when so many of our amazing supporters come together to support people in need of a stem cell transplant.
Team AN runners deserve the best and that’s where YOU come in. You can give our lifesavers that extra motivation they need and know that you’re saving lives too by giving them the cheers they need.
Volunteers will be at one of our official Anthony Nolan cheer points at the heart of the action along the route.

Cheering points will be on pavements and accessible by public transport. The role is mostly standing however volunteers can bring seating and any other adjustments they need to make sure they are comfortable. - Age restrictions

The Anthony Nolan Events Team will keep in touch with you in the run up to the event to give you team updates and all the information you will need for the day. You will have a chance to meet other Team AN volunteers, supporters and staff and have a briefing on the day as well. The cheering point will be on the pavement along the course, will have an Anthony Nolan staff member present and can be reached by public transport. - Volunteer Policy
