Rainbow Trust supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. They provide expert practical and emotional support for as long as it is needed.
As a Cheer Squad Volunteer, you will represent Rainbow Trust at the Great North Run and Junior Great North Run. You will help raise awareness of the charity’s work with children who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as raise vital funds to support more families.
Your role may include:
- Making as much noise as possible to support our amazing sportspeople with your cheering, shouting and whistling
- Engaging with members of the public confidently
- Meeting and greeting sportspeople and their families after the event
- Supporting with setting up or packing down our cheer point Being an ambassador for Rainbow Trust
Your Commitment
- Available on Saturday 12 September 2026 or Sunday 13 September 2026
- Time: 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Training and support will be provided
