HowDelicious Cafe support

Howdelicious, ‘Food with a Social purpose ‘ is a community café based at Howdon Hub, serving affordable and nutritious food to our community. 

As our Howdelicious volunteer you would be an integral part of our staff team providing a friendly and welcoming environment where people can socialise and enjoy a cuppa and some delicious ‘home cooked’ food.

Tasks include:

• Set up/clear away ‘front of house’
• Display products on sale, replenish stock as/when required.
• Support chef with food prep.
• Welcome customers

Skills

• Well presented with a friendly and cheerful persona.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Good communication skills (oral &written)
• Good time management skills.
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene.
• An awareness of health & safety issues in a kitchen/café environment.
