Our fantastic team of friendly and diverse volunteers plays a vital role in helping our stores raise funds to support children, young people, and families. As a Retail Stockroom Volunteer 1, you’ll focus on supporting the stockroom sorting and organising donated items to help keep the store running smoothly and efficiently.
Why we want you
As a Retail Stockroom Volunteer 1 you will sort and manage donated items, gifts in kind stock and new goods. Your role will be key in organising stock into the differing departments ready for delivery to the shop floor, ensuring our stores are always filled with quality stock.
What you will be doing
· Sorting donated items for distribution onto the shop floor
· Steaming and cleaning donated items
· Delivering stock as required to the shop floor
· Identifying any donated items that might be more suitable for online sale and putting aside to be researched
· Ensuring the store and back area remains clean and tidy
· Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to
· Ensure all security procedures are adhered to
