Jesmond Community Forum is an umbrella organisation where the many community groups of Jesmond can come together to share experiences, ideas, information and support, for the benefit of the community at large.
It also produces the annual Jesmond Festival in May, in which many of these organisations arrange their own events under the banner of the Festival.
- Taking notes at approx 5 meeting a year (early evenings, usually in Jesmond Library) and distributing them by email
- Responding to occasional email requests for information, often by forwarding the message on to an appropriate person
- Assisting with social media updates and replies ;
- Assisting with maintaining a small contact list
About 5 meeting a year, plus occasional other activities when appropriate
The role of Secretary does not require very much time or work, tho there is the opportunity to participate in more social media work if the applicant chooses to develop the group's visibility on-line.
