Sessional Volunteers

Denton Youth & Community Project runs sessions for people of all ages at our centre in West Denton. We are currently looking for volunteers for the following groups: 

Monday Inclusive Youth Club (Weekly)

• Supporting SEN young people with activities
• Creative, art, cooking, sport, music, media
• general cleaning/tidying
• Day trips in school holidays

Tuesday Lunch Club for adults 10am-2pm (weekly)

• Cooking meals, providing refreshments
• Chat and provide a friendly ear for elderly people in the area
• Shopping for sessions/food pantry

Friday Afterschool Club 3.15-5.15pm (term time only)

• Games/crafts/creative activities/cooking/gardening for children aged 5-11 years
• Support staff to pick children up from school
• Day trips and activities in school holidays
• Cooking snacks/meals
• General cleaning/tidying

Friday Senior Youth Club 6-8pm (weekly)

• Games/art/cooking/sport activities for teens
• Support with CV's and finding work
• Trips and activities during school holidays
• General cleaning/tidying

Skills

We are looking for

• friendly,
• reliable,
• open-minded,
• non-judgmental,
• patient people to help us deliver our busy sessions and build positive relationships with our service users.
• Previous experience working with young people is great but not required.

Our young people are open to learning all sorts of skills, so if you're creative, sporty, outdoorsy, techy etc we'd love to meet you :)
