Help Bring the Peter Rabbit Art Trail to Life This Summer
Volunteer and make Tales on the Tyne: Peter Rabbit Art Trail 2026 truly unforgettable.
Taking place from 15 July to 14 September 2026, this free, family‑friendly art trail will brighten Newcastle and North Tyneside with dozens of super‑sized Peter Rabbit sculptures, each uniquely designed by artists.
The trail celebrates St Oswald’s Hospice’s 40th birthday and Beatrix Potter’s 160th anniversary, creating a joyful experience for locals and visitors alike.
Volunteer roles available:
- Trail HQ Volunteer (the space @ Ouseburn) - Welcome visitors, share trail information, help families use the app, give directions, and support merchandise sales. Perfect for people who love being at the heart of the action.
- Community Events Volunteer - Attend events across Newcastle and North Tyneside, engage with the public, and help spread excitement and support fundraising activities.
- Arts & Crafts Volunteer - Prefer a creative, behind‑the‑scenes role? Volunteer behind the scenes creating handmade keepsakes, preparing materials, and supporting practical tasks.
We need 'Arts & Crafts Volunteers' to support us with our preparation for the Peter Rabbit Art Trail, until mid September 2026; 'Community Events Volunteers' and 'HQ Shop & Information Assistant Volunteers' to support us during the Peter Rabbit Art Trail from 15th July - 14th September 2026.
