The role offers a leadership opportunity to manage a team of volunteers to deliver local plans that support Crimestoppers’ overall objectives.
- Provide leadership to the local volunteer Committee and ensure actions are completed on time.
- Lead the development, implementation, and annual review of the local strategy.
- Work with Police, Community Safety Partnerships, and community organisations to plan and deliver campaigns and events.
- Recruit, support, and retain volunteer members to ensure the Committee is effective and well-resourced.
- Identify volunteer skills, encourage skill sharing, and support personal development.
- Create an inclusive and collaborative team environment.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with the Regional Manager, National Volunteer Manager, and Volunteer Management Team.
- Deputy Chair: assume full leadership responsibilities when required.
Commitment:
This role requires a commitment of approximately three years to support continuity and effective delivery.
Time commitment varies month to month and may include
- Local Committee meetings
- Occasional national meetings
- Planning activities
- Partnership engagement
- Ongoing support for volunteer members
