Corporate Community donation can volunteer

Looking for volunteers to help place donation cans in local shops, cafes and businesses to help increase visibility and encourage community contribution. Opportunities for different areas – starting near sites (Killingworth, Forest Hall, Jesmond).

What you’ll be doing

• Visiting local businesses (local to the site)
• Introducing Percy Hedley and what we do
• Asking for permission to leave a donation can on site
• Record placement details (where, when)
• Build positive relationships with local businesses

Flexibility around timings – can be a half day activity or a whole day.

Location to meet can be any of our sites.

Skills

• No prior experience needed; brief training/guidance script provided.
• You’ll need comfortable walking shoes, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to engage with local businesses.
