Looking for volunteers to help place donation cans in local shops, cafes and businesses to help increase visibility and encourage community contribution. Opportunities for different areas – starting near sites (Killingworth, Forest Hall, Jesmond).
What you’ll be doing
- Visiting local businesses (local to the site)
- Introducing Percy Hedley and what we do
- Asking for permission to leave a donation can on site
- Record placement details (where, when)
- Build positive relationships with local businesses
Flexibility around timings – can be a half day activity or a whole day.
Location to meet can be any of our sites.
Skills
- No prior experience needed; brief training/guidance script provided.
- You’ll need comfortable walking shoes, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to engage with local businesses.
