On Sunday 13 September 2026, hundreds of runners will take on the Great North Run to support our life-changing work and we'd love your help to keep them motivated all the way to the finish line.
We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to bring the energy at our cheer point along the route. We'll provide everything you need to make some noise and show your support, including:
- Noise makes
- Dog ears
- T-shirts
- Plenty of team spirit!
Timings are 9am until 2:30pm or whatever you can do in between those hours.
Whether you're cheering, clapping, dancing, or waving, you'll help give our runners the boost they need when it matters most.
An occasional volunteer form will need to be completed prior to attending
