Heritage Exhibition Researcher

Help us develop our heritage exhibition programme in 51 Lime Street, our new venue in the heart of Ouseburn Valley.

Join our research team on our next heritage project, lasting approximately 6 months.

You will be researching a chosen topic and help prepare material for our next exciting exhibition. This is a chance to contribute to a local heritage and community space. Volunteering hours are flexible.

The Ouseburn Trust has an abiding commitment to celebrating and preserving the heritage of the Valley. We have an ongoing photographic and oral history archive and have run a series of short heritage projects.

Through this role, you will:

  • Play a vital role in creating a memorable, pleasurable and high-quality experience for our visitors;
  • Help encourage the visitor numbers to our community orientated venue
  • Get valuable research experience within a heritage sector.
  • Delivering short talks / guided tours around the exhibition, once it’s open to the public
  • Come up with ideas and help organise events (e.g. talks, performances) relevant to the exhibition
