Kitchen helper

We are looking to recruit and train new kitchen volunteers to join our friendly team.

Together, we provide sandwiches, snacks, hot meals, and the occasional sweet treat for local families in our community.

We are looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Making sandwiches
  • Preparing children's snack plates
  • Cooking and serving hot meals
  • Washing up and keeping the kitchen tidy
  • Date checking food items
  • Basic food preparation

Whether you can offer a few hours each week or a full day, your time and skills could make a real difference to local families.

We can provide:

  • Full training and ongoing support
  • Food hygiene certification
  • A friendly and welcoming environment

Skills

  • A passion for cooking or preparing food
  • A friendly and positive attitude
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic food preparation skills (helpful but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and follow food hygiene procedures
  • Ability to work independently when needed
  • Good organisational skills
  • No previous experience is required – full training and support provided
