North Cumbria Social Activities Volunteer – Inpatient wards / Occupational Therapy Team – Carleton Clinic

Our patients living with dementia often enjoy social engagement and our dementia services provide this in an array of activities such as walking and talking, board games, movies, quizzes, gardening etc, our volunteers play an integral part in this and volunteer alongside staff to offer patients therapeutic engagement.

We are looking for volunteers who are approachable, supportive and sensitive to the needs of others. Ideally, we are looking for someone who has an interest in dementia care and would love to make a difference to someone who is living with dementia.

Time commitment: 6 months or more

Hours required: 1 session of 2- 3 hours, Monday – Sunday
