We are looking to increase our volunteers within St George’s Park, Morpeth.
These roles currently exist within our inpatient wards (adults, rehab and older peoples services) as well as supporting our Occupational Therapy team with new and identified volunteer roles supporting our patients, carers and staff colleagues.
Our patients living with mental illness often enjoy social engagement and our ward staff provide this in an array of activities such as walking and talking, board games, movies, quizzes etc, our volunteers play an integral part in this and volunteer alongside staff to offer patients therapeutic engagement.
We are looking for volunteers who are approachable, supportive, and sensitive to the needs of others. Ideally we are looking for someone who has an interest in helping people who are living with a mental illness and would love to make a difference.
Time commitment: 6 months or more
Hours required: 1 session of 2 – 3 hours, Monday – Sunday
If this role appeals to you and you would like to register your interest, we would love to hear from you. Please email: volunteer@cntw.nhs.uk
