Roving Ranger

Work alongside our Park Rangers and support them with their day-to-day tasks across the city. Rather than being focused on one park, you'll start your day at our Heaton depot and travel to whichever of the parks, Nature Reserves and Denes need the support that day.

This is an incredible chance to gain environmental experience and training in various practical tasks. There is also opportunity for additional training in power tools.

As with all our roles, we ask you to complete a short application form so we can set you up on our volunteer system. You’ll then be invited to book a brief introduction call with our Volunteer and Community Engagement Specialist. This friendly, informal 15‑minute chat is an opportunity to talk about what you’re looking for, explore which roles might suit you best, and learn more about how to get involved.
