Supported Volunteering

Disability North offers a range of volunteering and work experience opportunities that are flexible, structured, and inclusive. In line with our ethos of promoting independence, choice, and control for disabled people, we provide opportunities that support individuals in achieving their personal goals, whether that is building confidence, becoming part of a welcoming and social community, or developing professional skills and career progression. We aim to support each person in whatever goals they aspire to.

The opportunities we currently have available are:

Gardening assistant 

To support with gardening activities such as sowing seeds, tiding the garden, watering plants, restoring our compost.

Monday group Flexible – would like to form additional groups throughout the week Willingness to work independently if confident with gardening or within a group (under supervision) 

  •  Enjoys gardening and cultivation · Willingness to work outdoors
