We are currently working with a diverse group of individuals with varying degrees of visual impairment, from sight-impaired to severely sight-impaired, who share a passion for arts and crafts. Our exploration includes a variety of artistic forms such as painting and weaving. To enhance these sessions, we are seeking a volunteer who can customise activities to meet the specific needs of our service users, incorporating a variety of creative options to ensure an engaging and inclusive experience.
We have some materials available, but we may be able to provide more depending on the cost.
About Newcastle Vision Support
We were established in 1867, and our mission has remained consistent since our inception: to support visually impaired individuals in maintaining their independence through information and learning activities. We focus on helping them stay connected with people, services, social groups, and empowerment initiatives. As a completely independent local society, we proudly serve over 1,000 visually impaired individuals in Newcastle.
