Furniture Shop Volunteer

Come join our Byker Furniture shop, where every wardrobe shifted, table sold, and customer helped raises vital funds for St Oswald’s Hospice

  • Accepting donations from the general public
  • Sorting donated stock and quality checking it
  • Preparing stock for sale
  •  Researching stock e.g. via the internet or through local contacts
  • Where appropriate pricing stock
  • Creating attractive displays
  • Help with moving of shop furniture
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by the shop manager

Skills

  • Good eye for detail
  • The ability to work in a small team
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal with members of the general public, staff members and volunteers
  • A reasonable level of health and fitness to help with the moving of furniture
  • Have empathy with the Hospice values and environment
