Group Coordinator

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a complex neurological condition that progressively affects movement, balance, vision, speech, and swallowing . PSP disease gets its full name because it progresses and gets worse over time (progressive); it damages the parts of the brain that control eye movements (supranuclear) and causes muscle weakness (palsy). PSP belongs to a category of disorders called Atypical Parkinsonian Disorders.  Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD) is a progressive neurological condition. It presents complex challenges, not only to people living with a CBD diagnosis but also to their families, caregivers, and the healthcare professionals who support them.

You will be using your life experiences and skills to support people affected by PSP & CBD and their families.

With a warm and welcoming outlook, you will join our growing group network and be the person that makes the difference by providing a meaningful resource to those individuals in your local community.

You will gain satisfaction from helping to increase the support available and reduce the isolation for people affected by PSP & CBD by offering regular meetings where people can come together to share experiences, information or just chat.

Our group coordinators provide opportunities for people living with PSP & CBD and their families to get together to share experiences and develop friendships by organising regular meetings in the local area or online.

With the help of PSPA you will source and book venues, provide a warm welcome and deal with relevant paperwork.
