As Volunteer Bus Escort, you will support older people and vulnerable adults travelling to and from Search Newcastle activities and services. You will help create a safe, friendly and welcoming environment, ensuring passengers feel comfortable, supported and included throughout their journey.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome passengers onto the minibus and help them board and disembark safely.
• Assist passengers with seatbelts where required.
• Provide companionship and conversation during journeys.
• Support individuals who may feel anxious or require additional assistance.
• Carry out passenger registers and ensure all attendees are accounted for.
• Communicate any concerns or incidents to the driver or staff team.
• Help promote a positive and enjoyable experience for all passengers.
• Represent Search Newcastle in a professional and friendly manner.
