Events Volunteers will help organise and run events by helping to create a positive and warm welcome; helping attendees access the event, and giving all visitors to events a great day or evening leaving them with a positive lasting impression.
What’s involved?
- Creating a great first impression
- Making every visitor feel welcome, and answering visitors’ questions
- Keeping note of how many visitors attend the events
- Looking after the visiting exhibitors by offering refreshments
- Selling items for The Hearth i.e. annual calendar
- Making sure things run as smoothly and safely as possible – this includes getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures and being aware of overall security

The Hearth Arts Centre is within a listed building, upper-floors are not accessibly by lift. It is unlikely that the postholder would be required to carryout duties in this space and all the activities can be done remotely if preferred. - Age restrictions
