Our patients living with a mental illness often enjoy social engagement and our ward staff provide this in an array of activities such as walking and talking, board games, movies, quizzes etc, our volunteers play an integral part in this and volunteer alongside staff to offer patients therapeutic engagement.
We are looking for volunteers who are approachable, supportive, and sensitive to the needs of others.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has an interest in helping people who are living with a mental illness and would love to make a difference.
The volunteer will be volunteering into a service for men aged 18 years and over with a mental illness who require assessment and treatment in hospital.
Time commitment: 6 months or more
Hours required: 1 session of 2–3 hours, Monday – Sunday
